San Jose Ukulele Club Zoom #6

Bad Moon Rising 1969 Creedence Clearwater Revival cover. Song by John Fogerty.

This was a member’s choice session, I was asked to lead Bad Moon Rising and fine by me. Boomer nostalgia. Snobbery was creeping into rock music taste in the late 60s, and Creedence said screw that. That’s why I loved them. I discovered the song is fast at 180 BPM, at least for me. I also led it for the Gilroy Jam and Ukulele Rebellion. This was the best recording out of the three. Hal Leonard’s sheet music indicates the original studio version used 2 electric guitars tuned down a step along with an acoustic guitar.
