Moon Boat

I heard the song “Moon Boat” on the sound-track of the movie “Leave No Trace” during the end credits.  My demo is bare bones.  Ideally, I would work with my partner Glen to substitute a recorder or harmonica for the accordion part, add a bass line and play the guitar solos with the ukulele.  We don’t have the capacity right now so I will reprise the song at a Zoom meeting with Glen doing a recorder or harmonica outro.  I try to get a recording posted. Here is the chart. I performed “Moon Boat” at the Gilroy Ukulele Jam Zoom and the South Bay Acoustic Music Group.   The South Bay Acoustic Music Group was 1st time for me, and the 1st time outside of a ukulele oriented Zoom meeting.  Mostly guitarists, as I expected. One other ukulele player participated. That was Jay, who I know from the Ukulele Rebellion and the Oakland Jam.  Jay performed good covers of a couple of Hawaiian songs.  There were about 16 participants, fewer than I expected.   A drawing chooses the performers and their order.  An a-cappella singer performed.  A guitarist played an outstanding Fleetwood Mac “Gold Dust Woman” cover. South Bay Acoustic Music Group is a fun group of people.  Even the between song jokes were good.
