Corpse Grinding Man

Cover of 2006 Harley Poe song by way of Stick And Poke Chart: https://shawnsukulele.files.wordpress…

I used Stick and Poke’s arrangement of the original Harley Poe song. Harley Poe is the band’s name, not a person. Harley Poe specializes in this kind of music. The name brings to mind Edgar Allen Poe on a motorcycle. “Altered Carbon” features an artificial intelligence manifestation of a hotel concierge imaged as Edgar Allen Poe. The best part of that miniseries. Stick and Poke is a Canadian folk duo, one of whom plays Ukulele. Halloween themes have begun. I zoomed the song around to:

South Bay Acoustic Music Meetup
David S. Covered the Decemberists’ “Shank Hill Butchers.” Hobby Horse, a 2 duo I recognized from you-tube, did outstanding covers of two Scottish folk songs. Peter A. Covered Liz Phair’s “White Chocolate Space Egg.” Then followed a series of originals. Ray’s Yosemite, Marc T., and Angela did Hawaii themed “Buddy and the Chickens” and “Sunshine for the Shut-ins.” Bob G. performed Lord Why Have You Abandoned Me (titled in Aramaic). Mariah did “Desert Moon” in a King Tut headdress.

Gilroy Ukulele Jam
Karen covered “Crazy.” Curt did “Long Tall Texan” and “Chisholm Trail,” which was also the rounder. Linda covered “Mind Your Own Business” and “Don’t Forget To Keep Your Fingers Crossed,” which you may recognize as the Dick Van Dyke Show theme song written by Morey Amsterdam. She mashed it with “Three Little Birds.” Rudy covered “Limerick Song,” and Kristina did an outstanding cover of “Jolene.”
