True Love Will Find You In The End
This is a St. Valentine’s Day ready song if there ever was one. I have covered it before, I have a soft spot for it. I used Sophie Madeleine’s arrangement (see the chart for the link.) I love the cool 3 frets Ddim slide she does so much; I also use it on the Edim near the song’s end. I had not led the song at Gilroy or Ukulele Rebellion, so this was an opportunity. Here is the documentary about the composer Daniel Johnston. I took the song on Zoom tour to:
Gilroy Ukulele Jam

Bettie O led off with “Three Little Birds .” Karen led “When You Say Nothing At All.” Linda led “Glory of Love.” Florence led “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow.” Curt led “Can’t Buy Me Love.” The round-robin was “I’m Gonna Mail Myself to You.” Annie led “These Boots Were Made for Walk’n.” Linda led “Blue Velvet.” Karen led “Sweet Dreams of You.” George led “Make You Feel My Love.” Curt led “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry.” Linda led, “Yes, We Have No Bananas.” Bettie O led Nobody Loves You When You’re Down and Out.” Curt led “Come Back To Texas.”
Ukulele Rebellion
This was a St. Valentine’s Day-oriented jam. Mark warmed us up with “Three Little Birds.” Jasper, his own bird, squawked in approval. Jeanne then led “Edelweiss” as a tribute to Christopher Plummer. Lydia led “The Nearness Of You.” Pam and Mike led “As Time Goes By.” Disney Mark led “You Were Meant For Me.” Kathy led “Love Me Tender.” Annie led “Sea of Love.” Eve led “Younger Than Springtime.” Leela led the Trogg’s “Love Is All Around.”
