I noticed Peter Gabriel’s cover of this song in the YouTube recommendations. I knew the song from the Magnetic Fields 69 Love Songs triple album. If it’s good enough for Gabriel’s moving rendition, it is good enough for me. Fits in with St. Valentine’s Day as well. I noticed I had been overdriving my Mac DAW lately, especially on the vocals, and adjusted the vocal level at the mixer accordingly. I reduced the bass at iMovie processing time.
