Merry Christmas (I Don’t Want To Fight Tonight)

Yes, it’s the Ramones holiday favorite. The Ramones dented pop music, and then the original members died one by one. I saw them a couple of times back in the day. The Risa electric seemed appropriate. I tried some distortion via a pedal, but it sounded like fingernails on a chalkboard. Distortion requires the low-end missing from the ukulele. There may be some octave effect that can make this work. I did use compression and some reverb. You might check out the Hawkbirds cover; the link is in the chart.
