The theme for Ukulele Rebellion in March is Spring, so this song by The Go-Betweens is a perfect fit. I saw the Australian band live at a Berkeley nightclub in the 1980s, and they really impressed me; I’ve remembered them ever since. Over the years, I’ve covered some of their songs, and there are more to come.
For this arrangement, I used the Klos 8-string ukulele, which I’ve grown quite accustomed to; we’ve reached a sort of understanding. The bass was played on my usual Taylor Mini Bass, and I created the drums using GarageBand. I also recorded the verse riff with the Blackbird Farallon. I hope it can be heard clearly in the mix!
The insturmentals were played with Dm at 7555 and with C at 9787.
