Thankful For Everything (revisited)

Reissue! Remaster! A message and children’s song for kids of all ages. I reworked the bass and drums as part of my effort to improve listenability. My Taylor Mini-E bass provides the bass line this time, instead of GarageBand-generated. The GarageBand library provides the drums instead of custom-created ones. Note the sound hole cover, which helps balance my vocals with the ukulele’s raw sound —i.e., less mic pickup. The ukulele’s pickup contributes to the recording, adding reverb, compression, and a midrange boost, giving the ukulele sound more presence. My original cover is here for the curious. I will perform this song for the November 2025 Ukulele Rebellion “Celebrating Gratitude and Thankfulness” themed Zoom jam. Dani Joy’s mosey strum inspired the strum I used. I’d say a definite improvement in the ukulele sound: Fuller, less clangy, owing to the reverb, equalization, and mosey strum.
