I have always liked Crenshaw since I first heard him sometime in the 80s. I play the minor 7 chords as plain minors and let the bass fill in the minor 7 intervals, acting as a 5th string. I get better leverage with the “Bm bar” form than the finger straight across. This song is my 1st Garageband bass effort that is not a chord loop; different chorus chord progression required matching bass notes. Also, this time I sustained the bass quarter notes full until the following note except for the lead “count in.” My wife preferred the bass sound achieved in the previous efforts, saying the notes are correct, but the feel does not match the song. I’ll ponder that.

Is this song from a stage show ????
