Ukulele Rebellion had a Canada / Australia theme jam night that I would skip until I realized I could recycle the Cowboy Junkies cover. The Cowboy Junkies are a Canadian band. My chart was legacy from when I used two columns with 10 point font. I’ll update it; there is one mistake to fix, and I will add the BPM. I recorded the song for Sound Cloud 5 years ago, using the high G Kanilea. I hear a background recording hiss; I probably used my Tascam DR-05. This latest recording uses a condenser microphone, bass via GarageBand composition, and a low G Blackbird ukulele. I prefer the low G sound as more appropriate to this song. I also like the FM7 5557 to the earlier muddier-sounding 5500. Form 5557 required practice to fret accurately. I got feedback from a Ukulele Rebellion participant that the bass sounded like a distorted piano. I don’t know what happens to the sound when it reaches an individual’s computer speakers via their internet connection, but I looked at the bass line and determined that there were too many low notes, that is, notes below the staff lines. I moved all notes to within the bass clef staff lines. That sounded better to me. I also used whole bass notes at strategic points.
