Based at a senior independent living facility in Sacramento, the Heritage Park Band includes guitarists, bajos, accordions, and ukuleles, as seen in the video above. I’m a backbencher on the left. I joined them early in December as they rehearsed Christmas and holiday songs. I picked up the material fast enough. The fast tempo of many of the songs took getting used to. It helps there is an experienced musical director. I will join the band for their 2024 sessions and am already working on their new song list from the Daily Ukulele Leap Year edition. More here.
