A breakup song; I can hear it as someone trying to fend off depression. Earlier versions are here and here. I heard the song at the end of the final BoJack Horseman episode. I fingerpicked this time; I prefer it to the strumming of my first 2 attempts. I also included the late Glen Baker’s harmonica and my own ukulele solo; this time, the ukulele notes are more audible. The acoustics of my previous recording spaces, with the soft furniture, carpets, and curtains, were better than the drywall office environment I have now. I used the low G Blackbird Farallon ukulele for the rhythm. And I used a tambourine from the Logic Pro percussion library. I played the bass on my Taylor Mini-e Bass. No video this time. I’m not sure there is much point, given the camera’s usual side view. I was working with some sound engineers to improve my recording quality, and part of that meant supplying a vocal/rhythm ukulele track. Their efforts sucked, but I’m using the track here, as adjusted by me.
